CS Long Beach Women Defeat Hawaii

Kellie Bennett had career-high tying 20 points to lead No. 23-ranked Cal State Long Beach over Hawaii, 82-51, in a Big West Conference women’s basketball game Tuesday night at University Gym.
The victory was the eighth consecutive for Long Beach (16-7 overall, 11-3 in the conference). Hawaii is 12-11 and 6-9.
Bennett made nine of 16 shots for Long Beach, which built a 37-22 lead with 3:07 left in the first half and led by as many as 33 in the second half.
Dana Wilkerson had 10 assists and 11 points for the 49ers, who play Hawaii again tonight. Kari Parriott added 15 points and Trise Jackson with 11 for Long Beach.
