DONA VIOLETA
As a Nicaraguan living in America, I found Boudreaux’s article very ironic. Dona Violeta motivates her people by creating an environment of freedom through the restoration of their liberties and the adoption of open-market policies. She has thus kindled Nicaraguans’ entrepreneurial spirit. They are deeply involved in rebuilding the nation and have taken the lead in its economic recovery. Thus, what is perceived as weak leadership is in fact strength.
As Chinese philosopher Laotzu said, “To lead a people, walk behind them.â€
