COLLEGE BASKETBALL : WOMEN’S ROUNDUP : USC Rallies to Beat Arizona State, 84-69
Lisa Leslie scored 11 of her 16 points in the second half, and the USC women’s basketball team overcame a 35-31 halftime deficit to defeat Arizona State, 84-69, Thursday night at Tempe, Airz.
USC’s Tammy Story, who had 15 points, made three three-point shots to give her a school-record 45 for the season. The old mark of 44 was set by Karon Howell in 1988.
Crystal Cobb scored 21 points to lead the Sun Devils, 12-8 overall and 3-7 in the Pacific 10. USC is 11-9 and 5-5.
UCLA 112, Arizona 98--Rehema Stephens scored 18 points and DeDe Mosman had 21 off the bench to lead the Bruins at Tucson.
Stephens made 11 of 25 field-goal attempts and four of a school-record nine three-point shots as UCLA improved to 11-9 and 6-4.
