TRW Inc.: The high-technology products and services firm said its fourth-quarter net income declined to $42 million, contrasted with $64 million in the year-ago period. Sales increased 8% to $2.07 billion. For the full year, net income decreased to $208 million, contrasted with $263 million the year before. Sales rose 11% to $8.17 billion. The Cleveland-based firm, which provides services primarily to the auto, space, defense and information markets, attributed its earnings drop to a one-time gain in the year-ago quarter, the weak auto market and asset writedowns in the computer maintenance business.
