Jack in the Box to Expand in Asia: Jack in the Box said it will open 10 restaurants in Hong Kong over the next five years and is negotiating deals in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea and Guam. Jack in the Box, the nation’s fifth-largest hamburger chain, sold the franchise license for an undisclosed price to a group led by Hong Kong banker Roger Brown and the prominent Chansrichawla family of Thailand.
