To Be Settled in 1999: Three of Prince’s former managers are suing the rock star, claiming he owes them $600,000 and cost them potential commissions by ignoring their advice and making dubious career moves. Managers Robert Cavallo, Joseph Ruffalo and Steve Fargnoli claim breach of contract and fraud in the Superior Court suit filed Friday. The three, who represented Prince between 1979 and 1988, said the singer in 1985 “began to make decisions against (our) advice, including releasing records in competition with one another, following marketing plans inconsistent with industry custom and refusing to participate in customary marketing activities, such as timely production of videos . . . “
