Answering King’s Question
While reading your story on the three states that do not have a holiday honoring King (Jan. 21), I couldn’t help but think that it would send a wonderful message of support to those black men and women in the Persian Gulf if these states put aside politics and passed a resolution to honor King out of respect for these troops. It would be a powerful statement recognizing the sacrifices these troops (black and white) are willing to make for our great country.
