Pollution Research Reports $114,000 Profit for Quarter
Pollution Research & Control Corp., a Glendale company that makes devices for measuring air pollution, said it earned $114,000 in the three months ended Dec. 31, contrasted with a loss of $137,000 a year earlier.
At the same time, the company’s sales fell 47% to $796,000 for the period, from $1.5 million a year before. Pollution Research attributed the profit turnaround to a reduction of fixed expenses.
Separately, Pollution Research said a group of shareholders dropped a lawsuit that sought to oust the company’s board of directors.
