Schwarzstein Wins Women’s Surf Event
HUNTINGTON BEACH — Alisa Schwarzstein of Laguna Beach won the Women’s International Surfing Assn. Pro-Am Sunday at Bolsa Chica State Beach.
Lisa Carulli of San Diego finished second and Julie Whitegon of Laguna Niguel was third.
Whitegon, the current women’s U.S. amateur champion, took first place in the Pro-Am series standings with her third-place finish.
Fabiola Perriera of San Clemente won the Wave Rebel Bodyboarding title and Elinice Avila of Capistrano Beach was second. Both are native Brazilians.
