WESTMINSTER : Subscription Plan for Paramedics OKd
- Share via
To offset the cost of paramedic services, the city has adopted a subscription program that allows residents to receive unlimited emergency paramedic services for about $35 a year.
“It’s kind of like an insurance policy. Every family, household or business can subscribe to the paramedics,” said Councilman Frank Fry Jr. “If a person does not subscribe, they will be charged for a paramedic call to their address.”
The cost of a call would probably be between $100 and $150 without the subscription, although prices have not been finalized yet, Mayor Charles V. Smith said.
