The body of a missing Ramona woman was found alongside a road in Mississippi, a Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman said.
Investigators here were notified Tuesday that a missing person had been found near Oxford, Miss. The body was later identified as that of Mayme Flagg Schultz, 72, of Ramona.
Schultz had been reported missing Jan. 2 by her son Phillip of Fullerton after she missed an appointment.
The cause of death was probably a blow to the head, officers said.
Investigators are now trying to locate another son, Lorne, for questioning. Investigators are also searching for the woman’s 1989 pewter-colored Chrysler LeBaron, California license plate number 2RRX167.
