Chatsworth Distributor Signs Laser Disc Deal
Image Entertainment Inc., a Chatsworth distributor of movies and other programs recorded on laser disc, said it reached agreement to be CBS/Fox Video’s exclusive distributor in the U.S. and Canadian laser disc markets.
Image previously had been one of CBS/Fox Video’s national distributors. CBS/Fox Video said it retains the option to pursue other laser disc distribution channels if it desires.
Image did not disclose what additional financial income the new agreement might generate. It did say that in February and March, CBS/Fox Video is scheduled to release laser disc versions of the movies “Die Hard 2,†“Young Guns II†and “The Adventures of Ford Fairlane.â€
