La Puente : Classrooms for Disabled

Construction will begin soon at Nogales High School to convert an unused shop-class area into four classrooms for special-education students.
Such students, who have physical or mental handicaps, are now being taught in portable, temporary classrooms.
The Rowland Unified School District board approved funding for the project at its mid-December meeting.
