Griswold will make his first start since setting a world record of 44.07 seconds over an 870-yard course when he takes on seven rivals in the $25,000-added Katella Handicap on Friday night at Los Alamitos.
The 870-yard Katella will also offer a $4,000 Quarter Horse Breeders Classics premium award and will feature four horses that have already won stakes races at the current meet: Genuine Article, Speedy Lunch, Six Figures and Spring Carrot.
