WORLD : 12 Children Each to Get a Castle

BERLIN — A German property tycoon is reportedly giving a historic castle to each of his 12 children--including a 1-year-old daughter--for Christmas.
International property dealer Herbert Hillebrandt has turned his passion for buying the historic homes of former German nobility into a hobby. Hillebrandt, whose property company is based in the city of Cologne, owns 21 historic castles throughout Germany.
“I am giving each of my 12 children a castle for Christmas,” he said, according to today’s daily newspaper Bild Zeitung.
Hillebrandt has eight children from two marriages and four he adopted from Colombian orphanages.
