Jewish Group Asks Matsushita Pledge: The Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith has joined the chorus questioning the involvement of Japan’s Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. in the Arab-led boycott of Israel. Now that Matsushita has agreed to buy MCA Inc. of Hollywood, the league has urged the Japanese company to “clearly and publicly” declare that it will abide fully by U.S. law, including a prohibition against complying with the boycott of Israel.
