FREEWAY REPAIRS : Caltrans Issues Motorists’ Advisory

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

1. Compton: Eastbound No. 4 lane from Wilmington Avenue to Acacia Avenue, and the Wilmington Avenue on-ramp, Acacia Avenue off-ramp; Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; crack seal repair.

2. Long Beach: Alternating lanes from the eastbound Artesia Freeway (91) connector to the northbound Long Beach Freeway (710); today, 6 to 8 a.m.; stenciling.

HARBOR FREEWAY (110)

3. Carson: Northbound on-ramp from eastbound Sepulveda Boulevard; Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; bridge repair.

4. San Pedro: Westbound Terminal Island separation ramp and Harbor Boulevard off-ramp; Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; tree trimming.

5. Wilmington: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes at Anaheim Street; today, 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.; wall repair.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

6. East Los Angeles: Connector road from the northbound Long Beach Freeway (710) to the eastbound Pomona Freeway (60); today, 12:30 to 2 p.m.; electrical repair.

POMONA FREEWAY (60)

7. South El Monte: Eastbound No. 5 lane from the Peck Road on-ramp to the San Gabriel River; today, 10:30 a.m. to noon; electrical repair.

8. Various Cities: Eastbound and westbound No. 1 lanes from Indiana Avenue to Azusa Avenue; Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; sweeping.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

9. Downey: Northbound No. 1 lane from Florence Avenue to Telegraph Road; Monday, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; road maintenance.

10. Pico Rivera: Northbound No. 1 lane from Los Nietos Street to Saragosa Street; Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; road maintenance.

11. Pico Rivera: Northbound No. 1 lane from Washington Boulevard to Whittier Boulevard; Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; road maintenance.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

12. Commerce: Northbound and southbound Bandini Boulevard off-ramp and on-ramp; today, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; stenciling.

13. Commerce: Southbound on-ramp at Triggs Street; Monday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; landscaping.

TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (103)

14. Long Beach: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes at the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge; Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; bridge repair.

VINCENT THOMAS BRIDGE

15. San Pedro: All westbound lanes on the bridge and the eastbound Harbor Boulevard on-ramp will be closed to vehicles for the fifth annual Conquer the Bridge 8-K run and walk; detour signs will be posted; today, 7 to 11 a.m.
