Los Angeles police Wednesday said they believe that robbery was the motive in the stabbing death of a Mt. Washington resident earlier this month.
Dale Harvey, 59, a corporate cashier for Times Mirror, was found dead in his bedroom Nov. 1 after co-workers, concerned that he had missed work for two days, went to his house in the 2900 block of Pasadena Avenue Terrace, police Detective Ron Whitt said.
The co-workers called police, who found Harvey’s body with multiple stab wounds in the upper torso, Whitt said.
Police said several items were missing from Harvey’s house, but declined to elaborate.
