Plugs in Sioux: “Dances With Wolves,” Kevin Costner’s movie about a soldier’s experience with a tribe of American Indians, will be advertised in the United States in two languages--English and Lakota Sioux, the native language spoken throughout the film. In addition to the regular English televison and print ads for “Dances With Wolves,” Orion Pictures says it plans a series of radio ads to be broadcast on a network of American Indian radio stations. An Orion spokesman said the ads will reach a key segment of the movie’s audience. There are about 40,000 Lakota Sioux descendants in the United States, mostly in South Dakota.
