Voters OK of Term Limits
Presley’s article is the best argument yet for passing a proposition limiting terms.
The fact of the matter is that the passage of Proposition 140 has nothing whatsoever to do with limiting terms, but is in reality a signal to our career politicians that we are fed up with their incompetence, corruption, power-brokering and negative political campaigns.
Presley states that Californians have “cast a vote for inexperience and incompetence. . . .” What, may I ask, does he think we have now? The Legislature has proved gutless on issues such as the death penalty, while our school system becomes a disgrace.
We want politicians to stop wasting our money and stop raising our taxes, and if they can’t stand the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen.
