Northwest Airlines’ CEO Quits: Frederick B. Rentschler, 50, resigned for what the nation’s fourth-largest airline called “overriding family and personal priorities.” He assumed both the CEO and president’s posts in June. The Eagan, Minn.-based carrier named John H. Dasburg to succeed him. Dasburg, 47, was previously Northwest’s executive vice president-finance and administration. Rentschler will remain on the NWA Inc. board.
