Joffrey Signs Contract: The Joffrey Ballet has signed its residency contract for 1990-91 with the Music Center, it was announced Wednesday. The company has raised $2.6 million over the last six months to pay off the majority of its outstanding federal taxes, reducing its debt to $800,000. To further minimize expenses and pay off debts, the Joffrey has reduced its 1990-91 budget by $1 million to $11.6 million, according to the company.
