Here at this fancy resort (La Costa in Carlsbad), I’ve seen two gas-guzzlers with “No Offshore Drilling” bumper stickers. I hope to see one that adds the words “. . .if your car runs on saltwater.” What are my chances? L. SMYTH, Houston, Tex.
