Kawasaki Contract: For the 12th year in a row, the motorcycle officer who pulls you over for speeding on the freeway will be riding a Kawasaki.
The California Highway Patrol has renewed its contract with Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A. in Irvine, agreeing to buy 238 police motorcycles this year for about $1 million.
Kawasaki has sold more than 600 motorcycles to the CHP since 1978.
