Rio Mesa 41, Hueneme 14--Four backs combined for six touchdowns and two two-point conversions as Rio Mesa pounded out a win at home. Running back Gordy Abellera scored three touchdowns on runs of two, one and 15 yards.

Rio Mesa (3-2, 1-1) built a 28-0 halftime lead on two Abellera scores, a touchdown run by Angel Lopez, a touchdown jaunt by Sal Balsano and two two-point conversion runs by Lopez. After a fumble recovery by Frank Tinoco at the Hueneme 29-yard line in the third quarter, Don Dixon carried five times in a row for 29 yards and a touchdown that made it 35-0.
