A man suspected of seven Ventura County bank robberies hit two more banks within minutes in Thousand Oaks on Friday.
Officials at 1st Nationwide Bank, 49 N. Moorpark Road, reported that a man entered the building at about 2:45 p.m. and attempted to rob the bank. The teller, however, refused to cooperate and after a brief argument the man left, said Gary Auer, special agent in the FBI’s Ventura bureau.
At 3 p.m., Valley Federal Savings & Loan Assn., 215 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., reported a robbery.
The FBI believes the robber also has struck two Port Hueneme banks, two in Camarillo, two in Oxnard and one in Ventura, Auer said.
