Killing Snakes
I was appalled at the article (Sept. 17) about Mr. and Mrs. John Weber and their pursuits in Arizona. The rattlesnakes they are killing are a valuable, non-replaceable key element in the ecology of the desert. To wantonly destroy them is no less criminal an act than killing dolphins or other “cute” wildlife species!
I would like to think that the Arizona Fish and Game Department would be more enlightened in 1990 than to allow the destruction of a precious wildlife resource.
