With the election a month away, gubernatorial candidates Dianne Feinstein and Pete Wilson will put aside their paid-commercial campaigns for an hour and face each other in a live debate on Sunday.
Airing live at 6 p.m. (4)(36)(39); (3)(10)(34)(52) and with a repeat at 11 p.m. on Channel 9, the first half of the debate will see the candidates fielding questions from a panel of journalists. In the second half-hour, Feinstein and Wilson will go at it in a freewheeling Lincoln-Douglas style.
Also Sunday, the Disney Channel commemorates what would have been John Lennon’s 50th birthday with “John and Yoko’s Imagine” at 9 p.m. The 1971 hourlong video celebrates the life of Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono and includes footage of anti-war protests and scenes from their life interwoven with their music.
Tonight, horror freaks will want to check out MTV’s “This is Horror,” a new anthology series premiering at 11. The program features interviews with prominent horror film directors as well as clips from their best scary movies.
