The charred body of a woman found in a remote San Bernardino County desert has been positively identified as that of a prominent La Canada Flintridge businesswoman who disappeared Sept. 12, authorities said Tuesday.
The body of Tessie Miralle, 49, was identified Friday by two forensic dentists using X-rays supplied to investigators by Miralle’s husband. The cause of death has not been determined.
The body was still smoldering when it was discovered by a motorist on a dirt road in the remote region of El Mirage, west of Victorville, the day after Miralle disappeared.
