Tokyo Stocks Move Lower

TOKYO — Stocks were off sharply at the end of this morning’s session, as brokers bemoaned lack of buying interest due to concern over the future course of the Middle East crisis.
The 225-share Nikkei index was down 750.77 points, or 3%, to 24,156.87.
“The market is basically discounting itself now for a war that is likely to come at an indefinite point in the future,” a trader said.
