One person died and another was injured in a mid-afternoon crash downtown Friday, police said.
The car accident happened just before 3:30 p.m. when a man who was not identified, traveling in a car south in the 3500 block of Kettner Boulevard, attempted a left turn onto Vine Street, Sgt. Fred England said.
The car was struck broadside, England said. An occupant of a trailing car, who also was not identified, was injured, he said.
