WORLD : Iraq Crisis Fails to Lure Recruits

WASHINGTON — Young Arabs may by lining up to do battle for or against Iraq’s Saddam Hussein, but America’s youth so far have not responded to the call to arms, military recruiters said today.
“No more than usual,” said an Army recruiting officer in Durham, N.C., when asked if the Middle East crisis had inspired more enlistments. “About the same,” a recruiter in Atlanta said.
