Hendricks Among Hall Inductees

Raider linebacker Ted Hendricks and five other former NFL stars, along with longtime Dallas Cowboy coach Tom Landry, will be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame today in Canton, Ohio.
Also being inducted are Kansas City defensive tackle Buck Buchanan, Pittsburgh running back Franco Harris and linebacker Jack Lambert, Miami quarterback Bob Griese, and San Francisco offensive tackle Bob St. Clair.
The inductions will be part of ceremonies that include the annual Hall of Fame game, this year pitting the Cleveland Browns against the Chicago Bears.
ABC will televise the game, which begins at 10 a.m. PDT, and will show highlights of the induction ceremony at halftime.
Raider owner Al Davis will introduce Hendricks, the eighth player Davis for whom has done the honors. The others are were Lance Alworth, Jim Otto, George Blanda, Willie Brown, Gene Upshaw, Fred Biletnikoff and Art Shell.
In Tokyo’s second American Bowl, the Denver Broncos play the Seattle Seahawks tonight at 7 PDT (Sunday in Japan).
