OJAI : Woman, 42, Killed After Van Hits Tree

A 42-year-old woman was killed in Ojai on Friday morning after her van drifted across the road and struck an oak tree, authorities said.
Dorothy Marie Poole of Meiners Oaks, suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the Ojai Valley Community Hospital emergency room about noon, said Deputy Coroner Mitch Breese.
Poole was driving west on Ojai Avenue near Country Club Drive about 10:45 a.m. when for unknown reasons her vehicle drifted across the road, said Sgt. Carl Schoenberger.
