Planning Commissioner Don Greek announced he will seek one of the two available seats on the City Council in the Nov. 6 election.
Greek will resign as a Planning Commission member during Tuesday’s City Council meeting so that he can pursue the office.
In his letter of resignation, Greek said he plans to stay for one term in order “to try to get things accomplished other than just getting reelected again.”
David Hart, a former planning commissioner, will serve as Greek’s campaign chairman.
Greek has served on the Planning Commission since 1983 as a member and chairman. He is a civil engineer with DGA Consultants in Orange, and has been a resident of the city for 14 years.
