Wendy’s International Inc.: The Dublin, Ohio, fast-food chain reported second-quarter net income of $15.4 million, up 60% from the same period a year before. Revenue was $262.6 million, down 6% from the year-ago period. Wendy’s had 41 fewer company-operated restaurants than last year, most of them sold to franchise owners. The company said it had cut costs and improved profit margins and sales per restaurant. It also cited several new menu items.
