VERSAILLES, Ky. — William Shatner is a captain on TV but a colonel in Kentucky.
Shatner, Capt. James Kirk of “Star Trek” fame, has a 76-acre horse farm near here and has been designated an honorary Kentucky colonel.
He and his wife, Marcy, live in Los Angeles but spend a lot of time at their Kentucky spread.
“I’ve acquired a Kentucky accent and I’m a Kentucky colonel. So I don’t know what other qualifications you’d need, other than being born here,” Shatner said in Monday’s Courier-Journal of Louisville.
