A Daze at the Beach

A former Animal and a Door will be the featured performers at Saturday’s “Beach Daze” concert at San Buenaventura State Beach in Ventura.
Eric Burdon, former singer for the Animals and Robby Krieger, guitarist for the Doors, will join forces and rock ‘n’ roll.
And this show is free.
The day will also offer performances by rock/jazz group Jack Mack and the Heart Attack, comedian John Byner, as well as a bikini contest, a food court and prizes to be won at the carnival game area.
Organizers are expecting a crowd up to 10,000 for the event, which will kick off at 11:30 a.m. with a deejay spinning rock favorites.
Volleyball fans can enjoy a men’s and women’s California Pro Volleyball tournament that will coincide with the Beach Daze event.
To reach San Buenaventura State Beach use the Seaward Avenue exit from the Ventura Freeway.
