Nestle Selling Stouffer Unit: Nestle Enterprises Inc. put up for sale its 65 restaurants operated by subsidiary Stouffer Restaurant Co. Nestle said it decided not to expand its restaurant business and instead would prepare the division for sale as part of a long-range business strategy. Stouffer’s, which has been in the restaurant business for 66 years, operates “Top-of” restaurants--atop high-rise buildings--in New York, Cleveland, Boston, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Columbus, Ohio. The company also operates restaurants in several cities under the names J. B. Winberie, James Tavern, Rusty Scupper and Parkers’ Lighthouse.
