Two armed men wearing business suits held up an armored-car guard this morning outside a Sherman Oaks bank and escaped with a bag full of cash, Los Angeles police said.
No shots were fired and no one was hurt in the robbery at 9:30 a.m. outside a Home Federal Savings at 15301 Ventura Blvd., police said.
A Loomis Armored Inc. guard was approached near his armored car by two young men. Police said at least one of the men pulled out a pistol and forced the guard to hand over a bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash. The robbers then fled on foot. Police searched the area, including the nearby Sherman Oaks Galleria, but no arrests were made.
