Teresa Edwards scored 23 points and Katrina McClain added 16 to lead the United States into the championship game of the Women’s World Basketball Championships with an 87-69 victory over Czechoslovakia at Kuala Lampur, Malaysia. In the other semifinal, Yugoslavia defeated Cuba, 74-66.
