Developing Vacant Land in Laguna Niguel, Laguna Beach
- Share via
The land giveaway to developer Taylor Woodrow Homes in Laguna Niguel is not the first time that the Board of Supervisors has “mistakenly” given away public land to developers doing business in South Orange County.
Gee whiz, anyone can make a $50-million mistake by signing the wrong document; that’s no reason to make anyone in government suffer the consequences of their action.
Despite the district attorney’s investigation, no Republican D.A. is going to prosecute another Republican in this county. It’s one thing to favor unlimited development; it’s another thing to actually give the land to developers free.
Perhaps a grand jury might get to the bottom of this and feel more free to examine the development industry in South Orange County. . . . Not in our lifetime.
