Valley All-Stars Play in Van Nuys

The 11th annual Daily News all-star football game, involving 70 players from the Greater San Fernando Valley, will be played tonight at Birmingham High School in Van Nuys at 7:30.
The East-West matchup will also include players from the Simi, Conejo, Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys, along with the Burbank, Glendale and Foothill areas.
Heading the East team will be defensive back John Johnson of Palmdale, running backs Gregory Jones of Montclair Prep and Jerome Casey of Sylmar and quarterback Rob Westervelt of Hart. Leading the West will be tight end Christian Fauria of Crespi, running back Jamal Anderson of El Camino Real and defensive back Leon Glasgow of Granada Hills.
