Convicted Turtle Egg Poacher Is Back in Jail

PALM BEACH, Fla. — A man who received the state’s stiffest sentence for stealing sea turtle eggs was back in jail Saturday after dropping a knapsack containing 127 eggs, authorities said.
Alvin George Keel, 46, was arrested Friday on charges of disturbing marine turtle eggs, resisting arrest without violence and obstructing officers. He was held on $500 bail, police said.
