An armed robber dressed in a black ninja outfit held up a pizza parlor that was about to close, taking more than $200 before disappearing, sheriff’s authorities said Friday.
The bandit, described as a male Caucasian about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, disappeared into a large apartment complex near the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Paseo de Valencia, said Sheriff’s Department spokesman Lt. Bob Rivas.
Rivas said the manager and a worker were about to lock the Pizza Hut Restaurant on Alicia Parkway at 9:55 p.m. Thursday when the robber entered the store, pulled out a chrome-plated revolver and demanded cash.
He fled on foot into an apartment complex. Deputies searched the area but found no suspects.
Rivas said that the department has received no prior reports of anybody robbing a store or restaurant wearing a black ninja outfit.
