AND GETTING RICHER: Donald L. Bren’s personal fortune has grown by $50 million since last September, says Forbes Magazine in its “World’s Billionaires Issue” (D2), out this week. . . . The magazine lists Bren’s current worth as $1.9 billion, making the owner and chairman of the Irvine Co. easily the richest man in Orange County but only 22nd on Forbes’ list of 62 Americans. . . . Worldwide, Bren is an also-ran. According to Forbes, of 271 family and individual billionaires, 56 have at least $3 billion.
