Turner Takes One-Stroke Lead in L.A. City Golf Championships

Southpaw Mike Turner of Woodland Hills shot a one-under-par 71 on the Griffith Park Wilson course Sunday to take a one-stroke lead after 36 holes of the Los Angeles City Golf Championships.
Turner, the 1987 champion, was at 139. Ken Cruz of Yorba Linda, who was tied for the lead with Turner after Saturday’s first round, was at 140.
The final 36 holes are scheduled next Saturday and Sunday at Rancho Park.
