Maurice J. Hindin; Retired Municipal Court Judge

Maurice J. Hindin, 79, a retired Los Angeles Municipal Court judge who was first appointed to the bench in 1972 by then-Gov. Ronald Reagan. He was elected to the office in 1976 and reelected in 1982, retiring in 1988. A graduate of USC, Hindin had been in private practice in Los Angeles County since 1935, the same year he was admitted to the state Bar. In Culver City on Saturday of a heart attack.
