The son of the Tehama County sheriff has been convicted of murdering two men near Modesto. A Stanislaus County Superior Court jury found Rudy M. Blanusa guilty of second-degree murder in the Feb. 13, 1986, shooting deaths of brothers Joe and Gilbert Flores. Blanusa, 36, could be sentenced to 16 years to life in prison July 30. Two co-defendants, Edward Haro and Christopher Towler, were convicted and sentenced to prison earlier. Authorities said the Flores brothers apparently were kidnaped and killed by people looking for guns, a television set and $3,500 taken in a burglary.
