This letter is in response to the tragic story of the death of 4-year-old Francisco Hernandez in an abandoned car that was illegally parked on a street in Pacoima since last October.
Why didn’t somebody report that car?
Is nobody aware that a car cannot be parked on the street for more than 72 hours? Do your readers know that they can call 1-800-ABANDON (or 800-222-6366) and the city will ticket an abandoned car and, after a reasonable length of time, tow it away?
